What was your first experiences in using computers:
I first came into contact with computers at my final year in at the University when I had to produce my final year project report as part of the requirements for my engineering degree. This was in 2020. After university I first worked with an uncle of mine in a company where we used to repair and maintaing bank machines i.e cash counters, cash binders, etc some of which were highly sofisticated.

Then we went into high profile cameras for bank surveillance which were computer monitored. Here at mu uncle's is where i picked deeper interest in IT stuff because it was and is still neat and interesting! "I remain a lady at the job even if though I was an engineer. I could work with my painted nails while I love looking at when painted, much as I am an engineer" This I did till 2020 before I joined Sanyutel Limited, a local Internet Service Provider, as assistant Systems Engineer.

While at Sanyutel Limited, I interface a lot with computers. We had a 7.2m Satellite Hub which I was maintaining. There was a lot of via-console configurations that I used to do with the computer e.g configuring router, switches, Channel Banks, Remote Access Servers using a computer, Satellite modems using a computer. That was for the Satellite Equipment.

Then for the Internet equipment still via-computer configuration was used to setup/configure wireless modems and Access Points. Beyond on-site configuration and maintanance, I used to do a lot of remote login, configuration & reboot as well as remote monitoring of all the the nodes that had SNMP platform on Sanyutel's Metropolitan Internet network, from my desktop PC downtown Kampala. This I did until 2020 June before I joined SchoolNet Uganda as Technical Coordinator.

While at Schoolnet Uganda which is basically a network of Uganda Educators and Learners working with ICTs mainly the computer and the internet to improve their teaching and learning, I blended in and still blend in very well with my undoubted ability to make ICTs work in schools and always ensuring that the schools' ICT environment is uptodate all the time, so that the teachers carry on with their ICT integration in the curriculum comfortably. I am still with SchoolNet Uganda.
How does using computers make your work easier?
1. Each school is able to get fast / ALMOST IMMEDIATE acknowledgement of receipt of their technical problem report. And likewise the support is always fast, using most appropriate computer communications means that I have already talked about above.

2. Reporting and communication in the office at the secreatriat is very fast and convinient. So there is increased productivity all the time.

3. Communication with school administrators about their technology plans/ improvements in schools is also convinient.
