What was your first experiences in using computers:
First time I used computers was when i was still at school. I had enrolled for a sound engineering course and had to do a lot of my practicals using a pc. I must say at first i was a bit intimated by all the technology that was surrounding me! We were only three female student out of about 30 male students and the male students seemed and acted more confortable using these technologies. As our training went on i got more confortable and confident that i ended training rural women and girls on how to use computers to advance and better their lives.
How does using computers make your work easier?
Communicating with others is more simpler, through email and i can access more information on the web.

Digital Divides, Gendered or Not?

I am a daughter of the African Soil,

My operating system is what shapes me,

My society programmed me to behave like a “Girl”

Does my Interface say I am a girl?

Cooking, Cleaning and taking care of the home is not in my RAM

I am the motherboard of the nation

Empower me to empower the nation

Give me the mouse and let me click, click, click my way through the Net and be empowered!
