IICD assists developing countries to realise locally owned sustainable development by harnessing the potential of information and communication technologies (ICTs). IICD works with its partner organisations in selected countries, helping local stakeholders to assess the potential uses of ICTs in development. We also strengthen the capacities of our local partners to formulate, implement and manage development policies and projects that make use of ICTs. IICD has supported SchoolNet Africa's knowledge warehouse and its researching ICTs for education program.
