World Mauritania

In 2020 World Links Mauritania started with six schools online in Nouakchott. Since 2020 the programme has grown to reach 215 teachers and 6000 students from 12 schools participating in 14 collaborative projects. Its objective is to connect schools as communities of learning throughout the world with the ultimate goal of sharing opportunities via educational television, reinforcing cultural exchange and to contribute to building a solid foundation for economic and social development.

WORLD-MAURITANIA works with iEARN, and is engaged in the following collaborative projects:

 

  • Tales and Legends: Partners exchange tales and legends from their countries.
  • S.O.S. Education: Causes of the problems for students around the world.
  • Tea of the World: Aims at making known the various manners of preparing and of consuming tea, the place which it occupies in the daily life and its utility.
  • A traditional meal.
  • School for Students: Making the school a place for exchanging information and not a place of distraction.
  • How to make school cleaner as school environments generally suffers from the accumulation of refuse.
